At Feed Appeal, we know that local charities often have access to rescued food, but lack the capacity to store or process it. Our grant program specifically targets the missing links in the food relief chain—the infrastructure.
What We Fund
Our grants are designed to buy capital equipment that creates a long-term impact. This includes:
- Commercial cooling and freezing solutions (Cool rooms, chest freezers).
- Cooking equipment for community kitchens (Combi-ovens, large-scale blenders).
- Transport logistics (Refrigerated vans, trailers).
- Minor capital adjustments to improve food safety compliance.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for a Feed Appeal grant, your organisation must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
- Must hold a valid Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Item 1 status.
- Must provide direct food relief or food rescue services within an Australian state or territory.
- Demonstrate how the requested equipment will directly increase the volume of food distributed.
