2021 Grassroots Grants Program

The Feed Appeal Grants program is focussed on supporting local charities to deliver effective and targeted food relief programs to their local community. Funding requests must directly impact, improve, and build the capacity, capability and/or efficiency of your food relief program.

Funding in the Grassroots and Rural Grassroots program is focussed on minor infrastructure, commercial quality kitchen equipment and capacity building training that will help organisations meet the demand and alleviate food insecurity in their community.

Grassroots funding requests of between $5,000-$25,000 are available in this program.

  • Build capability and capacity to enable the  food relief program to meet the demand for an identified and quantified need in the local community
  • Increase the reach of the organisation’s current food relief program geographically

Need help with quotes and advice about kitchen equipment?

All kitchen equipment must be commercial grade. To support you Feed Appeal has developed a partnership with Clemtech one of Australia’s national kitchen equipment specialists.

Clemtech has provided special not-for-profit pricing and dedicated a team member to offer advice and support for applicants. We highly recommend getting a quote from Clemtech, the feedback from the 2020 recipients who used this service is that the team at Clemtech were knowledgeable, extremely helpful including sourcing of items not listed in the catalogue and competitive on price.

Successful applicants who purchased through Clemtech commented on how efficient the service was and that the delivery and installation process was smooth and took pressure off their limited resources.

(Please contact Clemtech if the item you are looking for is not in the catalogue as they are willing to source specific items to suit applicant needs.)
